'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his desire in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently halfway through the four-year contract he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the initial major trophy of his distinguished career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he earlier was, and would seriously think about prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had eluded him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's top focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
